Membership
Guidelines on membership for The AOGIN
- The following categories of membership:
Full Membership
This applies to individuals who are involved in clinical or research or laboratory services or training or screening or prevention of Gynecological infections and Neoplasia, in the Asia – Oceania region. The annual subscription will be US$ 30. The Members will be provided a Membership rate for Registration to the AOGIN organized conferences. They will also be eligible for participation in the General Assembly meeting of the AOGIN and will be eligible to be considered for election as National or Regional (Zonal) Representative, provided they have no outstanding membership dues to AOGIN.
Associate Membership
This applies to individuals who are not directly involved in patient care or research in the fields of Gynecological infection and Neoplasia. This would apply to individuals who are involved in Advocacy or those interested in the activities of the AOGIN but are not necessarily working in the field of Gynecological infection and Neoplasia. The annual subscription will be US$ 25. The Associate Members can attend all conferences organized under the auspices of AOGIN at the same Registration rate as Full Members. They can attend the General Assembly but will not be eligible to be considered for election as National or Regional (Zonal) Representative.
Institutional Membership
This is a special category of Membership provided to Institutions who so desire to be Full Members of AOGIN. The Institution should be actively involved in clinical or research or laboratory services or training or screening or prevention of Gynecological infections and Neoplasia, in the Asia – Oceania region. They can be either non-governmental or can be institutions operating under the aegis of National or Regional Governments. The Institution can depute one Member as its representative to attend the AOGIN General Assembly, who will be eligible to be considered for election as National or Regional (Zonal) Representative, provided they have no outstanding membership dues to AOGIN. The annual subscription will be US$ 300. Member Institutions can also bid for hosting the Annual Conference.
Corporate Membership
This category applies to all Pharmaceutical, Therapeutic and Diagnostic Equipment manufacturers, Clinical Research Organizations and other For profit Companies which so desire to be involved with the AOGIN activities. The annual subscription will be US$ 2500. One member from the company can attend the General Assembly but will not be eligible for consideration for election as National or Regional Representative. The Corporate Members will be given first preference in Trade Exhibition in conferences organized under the auspices of AOGIN. The Local Organizing committee of the conference will decide the charges for the Trade exhibition stall. Corporate Members can have their logo included in the Conference communications, provided its size is acceptable, to the Local Organizing Committee.
- Membership becomes effective after the Membership committee (or the AOGIN Board) has approved the application and the applicant has paid the initial membership dues.
- Memberships (Full, Associate, Institutional or Corporate) may be terminated or suspended by the AOGIN Board if the Member fails to meet the financial obligations to AOGIN or for any other reason that may seem proper for the Board in its absolute discretion. In the event of disagreement, the decision of the General Assembly shall prevail.
