​Dr Tay was one of the founding members and honorary treasurer of AOGIN, registered with the Registrar of Society Singapore in 2006 and currently the President of AOGIN.
Dr Tay sub-specialises in gynaecological-oncology since 1996 and is currently the medical director of Thomson Women Cancer Centre, Singapore.

Prof Fang-Hui Zhao (China)
VICE PRESIDENT
Prof Fanghui ZHAO is Director at the Dept. of Cancer Epidemiology, Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences/National Cancer Center. She has two years working experiences at NCI/NIH, USA and one year at IARC/WHO. She received the IARC/WHO Senior Visiting Scientist Award in 2015.

Karen Chan

​Dr Chan trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in both the UK and in Hong Kong.  She obtained the fellowship of the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (HKCOG) in 2005 and completed her subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology in 2008.  She is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) since 2012.  She is currently a clinical associate professor at the Department of O&G, University of Hong Kong.  Dr Chan is the senior vice-president of  HKCOG.

Prof Janice Chin (Singapore)
TREASURER
​Dr Chin PS is currently Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Department of Gynaecological Oncology, KK Women's and Children's Hospital. She is Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore and Clinical Senior Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She obtained her basic medical degree, MBBS, at the National University of Singapore. She is also Member at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists London, and Fellow of Academy of Medicine Singapore.

​Prof Karen Canfell (Australia)

Professor Karen Canfell is the Director of the Daffodil Centre, a joint venture between Cancer Council NSW and the University of Sydney, and is a Professor within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. She is Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences, an NHMRC Leadership Fellow, and holds a D.Phil (PhD) in epidemiology from the University of Oxford. She is an epidemiologist, modeller and translationally-focused population health researcher, and her research program focuses on providing policy-makers with an evidence-base for decision making across the cancer control continuum.

Prof Dwiana Ocviyanti (Indonesia)

Dr Dwiana Ocviyanti has an interest in research in cervical cancer prevention and lower genital tract infection. She finished her PhD program in 2006 with research on cost effectiveness of a combination of VIA, pap smear and HPV testing for a cervical cancer screening program in Indonesia. After the introduction of HPV vaccine in Indonesia, Dr Dwiana and her team conducted research in the cost-effectiveness of quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus Vaccination in Indonesia (2017).

​Professor Neerja Bhatla received her training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She is one of the founding members of AOGIN, former President (2014-16), and Founder-President of AOGIN-India (2006-10). She subspecializes in Gynaecological Oncology and is currently Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, AIIMS, New Delhi. She has undertaken numerous research projects on various aspects of cervical cancer prevention including HPV epidemiology, screening in low resource situations by visual inspection, rapid, affordable HPV tests, portable colposcopes, and HPV vaccine trials, both prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines. She has been the recipient of a UICC ICRETT Fellowship and is a member of the WHO Director General’s Expert Group on the Elimination of Cervical Cancer.

Prof Suzanne Garland

Professor Garland is an internationally recognized clinical microbiologist and sexual health physician, with particular expertise in infectious diseases related to reproductive health and the neonate. Her undergraduate degree was obtained at the University of Melbourne, with postgraduate training in UK public health system and in US Harvard University.  
 With her team, Prof Garland, has been a leader in patient self-collected genital sampling using molecular techniques (PCR) for diagnosis of reproductive tract infections, [predating diagnostic commercial assays]. She has published extensively on clinical epidemiology of sexually transmitted infections in Australia.

Dr Jeffery Tan (Australia)

​Dr. Jeffrey Tan MBBS, MSc, FRANZCOG, FRCOG graduated from University of Melbourne, Australia and is a consultant gynaecologist with the Oncology and Dysplasia Unit, Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.  He has published on cervical screening, management of screen-detected abnormalities, practice improvement in colposcopy and HPV.  He had chaired Parliamentary reviews for the New Zealand National Cervical Screening Programme and served in Committees in ASCCP (Australia), AOGIN, AOFOG and IFCPC.

Prof Ngan is ​the Head of Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, the University of Hong Kong, and has been endowed with Tsao Yin-Kai Professorship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2009.  Prof Ngan is also the head of the gynaecological oncology team and laboratory of the University of Hong Kong, the Chief of Service in Obstetrics & Gynaecology of the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, and Chair of Specialty (“COS”) for Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital Limited.

Professor Ashrafunnessa, PhD (DU), FRCOG after graduation from Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh, received training from home (Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Mitford Hospital, 1984-1988) and abroad (The Royal London Hospital, Rochford Hospital, Queens Park Hospital in UK.  Since 1993 she is working in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of IPGMR which was later converted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in 1998. She was promoted as Professor of Gynaecological oncology at BSMMU in 2013 and has teaching and clinical experience for more than 30 years.

Dr. Ai Ling Tan is a gynaecological oncologist who  trained in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She underwent formal subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology in Australia to obtain a certificate in gynaecological oncology (CGO). ​She is committed to continuing her work in increasing awareness  and prevention of gynaecological cancers, communicating and educating the public and colleagues to make a difference.
